Recognized with a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, the Khasi Mandarin from Assam is celebrated for its distinct aroma, balanced sweetness, and tangy flavor. It ripens between October and February, adding vibrant color and zest to Assam’s winter markets.

Beyond its delightful taste, the fruit is rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, making it a healthy seasonal favorite. The Khasi Mandarin also plays an important role in local livelihoods, as thousands of farmers depend on its cultivation.
